2009 SINOCES Unveils E-commerce Zone to Address Market Needs
For the forth consecutive year the United States Consumer Electronics Association (CEA), owner and producer of the International CES show, collaborated with Chinese ministry departments and government officials to sponsor the 2009 China International Consumer Electronics Show (SINOCES), held July 9-12, 2009, in Qingdao, China. SINOCES is a platform designed for global consumer electronics enterprises to exhibit their latest technologies and cutting-edge products and to explore business cooperation opportunities in domestic and foreign markets. Both China and overseas manufacturers showcased a wide spectrum of innovative consumer products. The product categories consisted of home entertainment, mobile solutions, automotive electronics, storage solutions and software applications, and security and protection products. Industry leaders, policy-makers, analysts, and press shared their insights on a variety of topics including next generation display technology, new Internet applications, the emerging 3G telecommunications market, and green initiatives.
Along with the rapid advancement of wireless networks, e-commerce has become more popular in the market and has influenced the traditional practice of business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) sales. SINOCES unveiled an E-commerce Zone this year which aimed at building a powerful e-commerce platform for the exhibitors with that particular interest. Major e-commerce websites like Made-in-China.com, Alibaba.com, Globalmarket and China Electronic Business Network had exhibits in the Zone. To address the challenging economic conditions, new tools and resources with lower cost and higher efficiency were showcased to further enhance commercial activities in the marketplace. It’s been anticipated that e-commerce in China will develop toward specialization, individuation, internationalization, inosculation, and regionalization in the near future.
